Crimsafe® - Steel Wind Screens
Crimsafe
High Strength window, door, patio and lanai security screen systems.
Crimsafe® is a stainless steel security mesh and frame system.
It is used to secure doors, windows and outdoor areas from intruders,
flying debris from hurricanes (Yes, this system is Florida Building
Code
RATED hurricane protection) and insects alike. The outdoor patio
and lanai system will also repel all
types of Florida wildlife including alligators, raccoons, snakes
and any other creature you might find inside a typical screen
enclosure.

From a distance, it looks like an insect screen. And it does the
same job of keeping your house cool in Summer while keeping mosquitoes
out. But Crimsafe is unlike any other screen you've ever seen,
because it makes your home virtually impenetrable to thieves.
Patio Enclosure products can be used in the following ways...
-
Secure your patio or outdoor living area.
-
Make a cost-effective room addition.
-
Can be used between existing posts to create an enclosure
- no need to add new posts and supports.
-
Use it to provide a screened area in your home, courtyard
or backyard.
You don't have to create a fully enclosed area.

BUILT FOR THE FLORIDA ENVIRONMENT
The 1000-hour Salt Spray Test
This accelerated test consists of a solution of salt and water
sprayed at test samples for a continuous period of 1,000 hours.
The test simulates the performance of the coated mesh in a coastal
and corrosive environment.
Crimsafe's ® Security mesh passes the Salt Spray Test and
after 1,000 hours, the test results show there is no corrosion,
loss of adhesion or blistering. This is due to the unique powder
coat that Crimsafe® mesh features.
The specially developed coating, which is exclusive to Crimsafe®,
contains additives that prevent the build up of impurities by
making the surface slippery at a microscopic level - impurities
just can't grip on. It is also very hard, which means that it
does not chip off or crack and leave the stainless steel underneath
exposed to the salt environment. The coating is fully compliant
with AS/NZS 4506:1998 Metal finishing-Thermoset powder coatings.
With regular cleaning, your screens will look great, stay strong,
and beat more burglars for a lifetime.
BUILT FOR THE FLORIDA WEATHER
HEAT AND HURRICANES
Crimsafe® can protect your home against hurricane damage,
while still letting light in and allowing you to view the outdoors.
It is tested to withstand winds up to 200 MPH/322KPH, and missile
impact up to 150 MPH/241KPH. And, unlike storm panels, Crimsafe
is installed in place. There is no need to spend tense moments
just before a storm climbing up on ladders and hammering boards
into place. ALL hurricane
protection products are required to be approved under Florida
Building Code. We also have approval from the most rigid testing
standards in the State of Florida (as well as the entire U.S.A.)

HEAT
Crimsafe Security Screens are the best product to protect your
home or property from being broken into by burglars, but did you
know that they are just as good at protecting your home from overheating?
Adding Crimsafe screens on your windows and doors can greatly
reduce the amount of heat entering your home, therefore reducing
the need to run the air-conditioning and thus reducing your energy
costs. In fact when a Crimsafe screen is added over the whole
window, it can improve the windows ability to block solar radiation
by up to 52%!
Windows play a very important role in the fabric of our homes.
They allow in the light, control airflow, and provide views that
connect our internal living space with the outdoors. However,
ordinary windows can also represent a major source of unwanted
heat gain in summer and significant heat loss in winter.
Crimsafe Security Screens, when applied over the whole area of
a single glazed window can improve the SHGC of the window by 52%.
Considering that up to 40% of a home's energy for cooling or heating
is lost or gained through windows this can represent a huge saving
on your energy bill and a dramatic cut in your greenhouse gas
emissions.
